BR B17 Everton Locomotive - This Gresley designed locomotive, named after the Everton Football Club, incorporates the number '6' at the beginning of its running number, indicating that the locomotive was formerly owned by the LNER. It is also worthy of note that Mr Frank Hornby, the originator of Hornby trains was MP for Everton from 1931-35.
LNER A3 Humourist Locomotive - Exhaust smoke and fumes from the LNER Class A1 and A3's tended to obscure the driver's vision and a great deal of time, experimentation and money was spent to relieve the problem. 'Humorist' was used during the experimentation and one of the solutions attempted to lift the smoke clear of the cab windows was the fitting of a double chimney.
BR MN Brocklebank Line Locomotive - 'Brocklebank Line' was built at Eastleigh and first went to traffic in November 1948, 35025 was rebuilt in December 1956 with a speedmeter being fitted in October 1959. Towards the end of BR service 'Brocklebank Line' was transferred to the Western Region but after withdrawal the locomotive was moved to Barry for scrapping. In 1984 the engine was purchased by Brocklebank Line Rescue and moved to the Great Central Railway in February 1986.
GWR 040 Blue Locomotive - A new work place and livery for this popular little character. Based on an early GWR design, this sprightly locomotive appears in the imaginative livery of a Colliery that goes under the name of Lynne & Co. and is another model for the younger enthusiast's layout.

BR R/B Duchess of Rutland Locomotive - Originally outshopped with a streamlined casing, 'Duchess of Rutland' was rebuilt in 1947. This Super Detailed model shows 'Rutland' during the interim de-streamlined period when the front end of the smokebox was 'dipped'. The distinctive lines of the 'Duchess of Rutland' are further enhanced by the model's Super Detailed features which include a split footplate and smoke deflectors without extensions.
S&D 2P Locomotive - The Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway was an amalgamation of two companies which operated initially on two gauge - Narrow and Broad. In 1923 the S & DJR became jointly owned by the LMS and SR, but their engines still retained the blue and gold lettering livery for another seven years.
GWR Pannier Locomotive - A new running number for this popular example of GWR's many independent and highly successful locomotive designs. Pannier tanks like this one were rarely seen outside the Great Western Railway.

LMS 29 Locomotive - The class 2P was a light duty passenger locomotive of unspectacular performance but very economical to maintain, due to its robust, simple construction and relatively undemanding workload. Introduced in 1928, the last of the 2P's served until 1962. It is presented here in the LMS livery of the thirties (yellow numbers replacing the earlier gold).
